經過太陽的邊緣，才發現——原來太陽系的中心是這副模樣。
原本打算搭著太空梭下去看看，
但想到那裡的溫度……還是算了。

After passing the edge of the sun, I realized—so this is what the center of the solar system looks like.
I was planning to take the shuttle down for a closer look,
but then I remembered the temperature there... maybe not.


這件作品呈現一種「回首觀看」的狀態——就如同人們搭乘飛機，前往未知之地時，總會忍不住從窗戶望向那逐漸遠去的家鄉。熟悉的地景，透過陌生的高度與視角，轉化為一種熟悉的陌生感，也是一種重新理解與告別的方式。

作品中的太陽，以天然漆層層堆疊出起伏不一的紋理與肌理，象徵它旺盛且不安定的能量。在凹縫處，藝術家嵌入金箔、銀箔與雲母粉等異材質，最後以琥珀色透明漆封罩，使整體畫面呈現出豐富的層次與深度。

在這段無眠的宇宙旅程中，這是一個光與熱的起點，也是一次視覺與情感的回望。

This piece captures a moment of “looking back”— much like how people, when flying toward an unfamiliar destination, often find themselves gazing out the window at the slowly receding view of home. Familiar landscapes, seen from an unfamiliar altitude and angle, become strangely foreign—offering a way to both reinterpret and bid farewell.

The sun depicted in the work is built up with layers of natural lacquer, creating undulating textures that symbolize its intense and volatile energy. Within the crevices, the artist has embedded contrasting materials such as gold leaf, silver leaf, and mica powder. Finally, an amber-tinted transparent lacquer coats the surface, giving the image rich depth and dimension.

In this sleepless journey through the universe, this marks the origin of light and heat—a point of visual and emotional reflection.
